Cybernetics Virtual Tape Library is a cost-effective and scalable disk-based backup solution that works seamlessly with your existing backup application. Cybernetics' innovative approach minimizes the amount of data to be stored by providing data compression along with byte-level data deduplication to minimize disk space utilization and enable efficient replication of daily backups to an offsite location. Cybernetics VTL is a great complimentary solution to IBM's TSM Backup, Veeam Backup and Replication, IBM System i (AS/400), CommVault Simpana, Symantec BackupExec and NetBackup, HP Data Protector and many more. Reduce or even completely eliminate tapes from your environment, and Cybernetics can replicate backups to an offsite Cybernetics appliance.
FileCloud provides a solution to organizations seeking to take control of their file sharing and file sync applications. Many organizations have users with personal Dropbox or Box.net accounts who then use these accounts to share large files with those both within and outside of the organization. Not only does this pose a security risk of organization data, but presents publicly traded companies, health care and banking organizations with significant regulatory risks. The Tonido FileCloud solution allows companies to create their own, private file sharing solution that has desktop, browser and mobile (phone, tablet) applications for users to share their files, and sync files between mobile devices and their user server directory and/or desktop. Additionally, there are complete audit logs of every file transferred in and out of the FileCloud server, reporting capabilities of those log files, and version control of the shared files.
HiComp has partnered with Veeam Software to offer Veeam's Backup and Replication for VMware solution. This solution leverages the VMware ESX vStorage API and VM snapshots, as well as Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS writer) to enable data and application consistent backups of running virtual guest machines. The backups are routed to a Veeam target server's disk storage (direct attached, SAN or NAS) which provides a very fast backup of data as well as facilitating rapid restores. The Veeam replication engine will also leverage the vStorage API and VM snapshots to replicate native VMDK files from a production ESX host to an offsite (or near site) ESX host server. By keeping the replicated data in native VMDK format, Veeam enables rapid recovery at the DR site of replicated virtual machines, with snapshot versions intact in case of the need for rollbacks.
